Q: WHAT IS WHISKEY ON ICE?
A: Whiskey on Ice is Minnesota's premier whiskey celebration. The first Whiskey On Ice was held on April 12, 2015 to a sold-out crowd and rave reviews...serving as proof that Minnersotans wanted their own, world-class whiskey event. Now, Minnesotans have an annual opportunity to interact with leading whiskey producers from around the word, and to taste literally hundreds of examples of our favorite distillate, all without having to leave MN.

Q: WHEN AND WHERE WILL WHISKEY ON ICE TAKE PLACE?
A: 
The Third Annual Whiskey on Ice will take place on Saturday April 14, 2018. It will again be held at the historic Depot in downtown Minneapolis.

Q: WHAT'S WITH THE NAME, "WHISKEY ON ICE"?
A:
 The venue for our celebration is The Depot's shed...home to an indoor ice rink during the winter. So, literally, our event takes place ON ice. But don't worry about bringing your skates...flooring will be over the ice the night of our event. ;)

Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A VIP AND GENERAL TICKET?
A:
 Attendees who purchase a VIP ticket will be admitted to our Grand Tasting one hour earlier than General ticket holders. During this extra hour, our participating distilleries are urged to pour a rare or limited release expression for the VIP attendees. 

Q: HOW MANY DISTILLERIES WILL PARTICIPATE?
A:
 Participation will be limited to 120 distilleries. As in the past, participants will represent distilleries from around the world. A full list of participants is available by going to the "Distilleries" section of this website, or by clicking here

Q: HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE SILENT AUCTION?
A: 
All attendees to Whiskey On Ice are invited (and encouraged!) to participate in our silent auction of rare whiskeys. The auction will take place within the Grand Tasting hall, and staff will be on-hand to assist in registration. 


Q: HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?
A: 
Tickets are only available through this website. Given the limited number of tickets for our event and the high level of interest, we fully expect to be sold out well in advance of our April celebration. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Q: WHAT DOES MY TICKET ENTITLE ME TO?
A: 
Both VIP and General ticket holders will receive a tote bag, tasting book, pen and Glencairn tasting glass. Food buffets and water stations are accessible to all, as is entry to our Cigar and Cocktail Lounge.

Q: ARE DESIGNATED DRIVER TICKETS AVAILABLE?
A: 
Yes, a limited number of "DD" tickets are available for sale. These ticket holders will be admitted to the Grand Tasting venue, but will not receive a tote, tasting book or glass. While they are welcome to partake of the food buffet and water stations, they are prohibited from sampling any whiskey. NOTE: DD attendees caught sampling whiskey during our event will be required to either pay a $100 fee or leave the venue immediately. 

Q: I'VE BOUGHT MY TICKET...NOW WHAT?
A:
 As tickets are too easy to lose or forget, we do not mail tickets in advance of the event. Instead, attendees are required to stop by the registration tables the day of our event to pick up both their pass(es) and materials. Tickets are not transferrable, and all attendees (including those who purchase a Designated Driver ticket) must present a valid I.D. to verify both their identify and age. No one under the age of 21 shall be admitted to Whiskey On Ice.
